Sometimes they say that we don’t choose our destiny, but rather that it chooses us.
And so I think it goes for most musicians. At least for me it was always that way.
My earliest childhood memories are of taking piano lessons and being forced to practice. Which to be completely honest I didn’t like all that much at the time, but sometimes parents actually are right, and in a sense that piano set the foundation for my life.
Eventually I would go on to fall in love with the guitar, and especially the effect that a powerful guitar solo could have on the listener.
I can still remember being in grade school when I first heard Slash cranking out guitar solos for Guns n Roses and thinking how that was the coolest thing I had ever heard at the time.
Then when I found out years later that there was something called a jamband I was hooked.
You mean there’s a style of music where the guitar player gets to solo as long as he wants?!
Count me in!!
Fast forward a few years later, and after years of jamming and writing I would begin to record my own music under the band name Mr. Hunter.
In the years since then I’ve begun playing the keyboard again (and this time feeling more gratitude about it:) as well as picking up the bass often enough to be ready when called on.
I’ve been blessed to play a wide range of musical styles, including Rock n Roll, Disco, Blues, House and Dj music, as well as classical, jamband, and more!
Music has been my lifelong close friend and I’m excited about what the future brings. Thanks so much for visiting this site and taking an interest in what I’m doing, and I look forward to seeing you in concert soon!
